Meet Up – League Gathering

On 15 November 2025, it’s happening again: the Rosa Löwen & Pink Pearls are hosting the QUBALI League Gathering in Leipzig – a day packed with sport, exchange, participation, and community.

Delegate, player, team manager, or just curious? Everyone’s welcome!

The day at a glance

09:00 – 12:00 · Badminton for everyone
We’ll kick things off on court: a fun ribbon tournament for players of all levels. Free to join, open to all QUBALI members and our hosts from SC Rosa Löwen and Saaleperlen e.V.

From 12:00 · Arrival & Welcome
A cozy hall, a warm hello, and light refreshments – sandwiches, water, tea, and coffee.

12:30 · Intro for new teams
New to the league? This session is for you – learn how QUBALI works and how to get involved.

🗳 13:00 – 18:00 · Delegates’ Assembly

The highlight of the day – shaping the future of the league together.
The Delegates’ Assembly (DA) is the league’s top governing body. Each team appoints one representative. Together, the assembly sets the framework for the league’s work, including board elections, financial matters, statutes, and substantive motions.

At the same time, the upcoming season is organised in very practical terms: Which teams play in which group? Where and when will the match days take place? Who coordinates the teams? Issues such as promotion and relegation, or which shuttlecocks are used, are also decided collectively.

And the bigger picture: bring your ideas on queerness & diversity, international connections, or stronger networking of clubs and tournaments. Think, discuss, decide – that’s what the Delegates’ Assembly is for.

From 19:00 · Captains’ Dinner 🍽
Same hall, new vibe: dinner with a captain at every table, followed by a relaxed get-together. Friendly, easygoing, and full of league spirit.

The Gathering is where our league takes shape – democratic, transparent, and collective. A chance to co-decide, share ideas, understand structures, and connect with other teams.

Even if you’re not a delegate: join in! Whether playing badminton, listening in, or networking – the league thrives when we’re together.

Sticking around? On Sunday morning we’ll offer a small extra program – maybe a zoo visit or a guided city tour of Leipzig.

Coordinate with your team in advance: Who will attend the Delegates’ Assembly? When can match days take place next year? Would you like to host a match day yourselves? Make sure to clarify any necessary authorisations – and don’t miss out!

Our hosts will try to arrange accommodation or affordable hotel rooms for everyone interested. It works best if you register as early as possible. 😉
