How to register for the QUBALI 2026 season – at a glance
Would you like to take part with your team in QUBALI 2026? Brilliant! Here’s how registration works:
📝 Step 1: Register your team (by 31 October 2025) [completed]
Register your team online and name two team managers. A team must consist of at least six players – but you don’t need to provide names at this stage. What matters is that your team is represented at the Delegates’ Assembly on 15 November 2025 in Leipzig – either by one of the team managers or by someone with written authorisation.
👥 Step 2: Register players (by 31 December 2025)
After the assembly, the dates and venues of the match days will be confirmed. From then until 31 December 2025, you can assign players to your team online – at least six people, regardless of gender. You’ll receive a registration confirmation by email, which all team members must sign. Please return the signed form by 31 January 2026 at the latest.
💸 Step 3: Pay fees & refundable deposit (by 31 January 2026)
The membership fee is €25 per player. In addition, a refundable deposit of €150 per team is required. After you assign players to your team online, the team manager will receive a collective invoice for the membership fees and the deposit. The team manager must transfer the invoice amount to our club account by 31 January 2026. Alternatively, the collective invoice can be issued to your home club and paid by them. However, the team manager remains responsible for meeting the deadline.
✅ And then?
Once all documents and payments have been received, your team is officially registered for the 2026 season!
Good to know:
- You can add more players to your team at any time during the season.
- Many home clubs cover the membership fees – just ask your local club committee.
- The deposit is, of course, refunded at the end of the season and only serves as guarantee against missed deadlines or no-shows.
- Everyone who is queer-friendly is welcome – regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation

FAQ – Your questions answered.
How can I take part?
Getting involved is straightforward. All you need is a team of at least six players. Register your team for the next QUBALI season, become members of the association, and pay the membership fees together. Registration this season involves a few simple steps – you can find all the dates and deadlines here.
When do I need to register my team?
Please register your team by 31 October of the year before the season. You can access the registration page [here], where you’ll find the button for the registration form. All further steps and deadlines are also explained here.
Do all players need to sign the membership form?
Yes, we need signatures from all players for the membership to be valid. A signature via a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) is also accepted. If your team’s players are spread over a large area, it might be difficult for everyone to sign on the same form. In that case, feel free to send us several forms with individual signatures. Just make sure the team name and the managers’ names at the top of each form are identical.
Can we add players later?
Yes. To register a valid team, you first need at least six players. Additional players can be added at any time during the season. Match day sign-in sheets will be available at each event.
Can I register my team even if not all players are confirmed?
Yes! You can register your team by 31 October of the year before the next season, and you don’t need to provide player names yet. Player names are added later in Step 2, once the match dates for your group are confirmed. We do recommend checking first that you have at least six interested players. All details about each registration step and the deadlines can be found here.
Why do I need to pay a deposit for registration?
A deposit of €150 per team is required.
Missed deadlines and last-minute cancellations disrupt league organisation and place an unfair burden on the host teams. The team managers’ assembly has therefore decided to use a deposit to ensure commitment and cover potential penalties.
The deposit will, of course, be refunded if a team withdraws at the end of the season.
What are the responsibilities of a team manager?
The team manager registers the team and its players, organises the collective payment of membership fees, and coordinates with other teams to ensure a smooth season. On match days, they handle line-ups and results management.
They also make sure the team is represented at the annual Delegates’ Assembly – on 15 November 2025 in Leipzig. If they cannot attend, a deputy or another person can be appointed (please indicate this during registration).
Who can take part? Do you have to be queer to play?
Everyone who identifies with or supports the queer community is welcome. Team composition and match format are not based on gender identity or sexual orientation. We are open to all, as long as you are queer-friendly. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
What support do you offer for people identifying as women?
Many participants in queer sports are men. A women-only division could be a great option if there is enough demand. However, QUBALI deliberately does not focus on gender – teams are grouped by playing level. The league is gender-neutral, so your team can be mixed and diverse!
Who can I contact with questions about the league?
