Host a Match Day – Bring the League Home

Interested in hosting a match day yourself? Here’s how! 🏸

Our league thrives not just because teams show up to play—but because they also help host match days. You don’t have to do it every season, but it’s great when hosting duties rotate. Sounds like a lot of work? Maybe a little—but it’s a lot of fun, brings your team closer together, and you won’t be doing it alone!

What does it mean to be a host team?

You’ll provide a sports hall with courts, organize food and drinks on-site, help arrange sleeping accommodations (bed exchange), and welcome the other teams. If you like, you can also organize a group dinner. In short: you’ll create the space for everyone to have an unforgettable day.

Don’t worry – you’ll have support!

You’re not expected to handle the match organization by yourself: The board and your group coordinator will provide everything you need—schedules, shuttlecocks, forms, and ranking lists. We’ll reimburse your food expenses. And if things get tricky, other teams are happy to help out. With our handouts and clearly divided tasks, it’s easy to stay on top of everything.

Why is it worth it?

Because you’re bringing the league to your hometown—and you get to shape the match day your way: warm, creative, inclusive. Because it’s a chance to welcome the queer badminton community without organizing a whole tournament. And because you, your city, and your club become part of something bigger: a sporting, fair, and queer community that brings people together.

So: go for it, get in touch—and take your league to the next level!
