QUBALI 2027: Registration is open!
Planning for the next QUBALI season is underway – and registration for 2027 is open until 31 October 2026!
Would you like your team to take part again, or are you thinking about entering a team in QUBALI for the first time? Now is the perfect time. In the 2026 season, 35 teams from 22 cities and 4 countries competed across six groups and four divisions. In 2027, we want to bring even more teams together!

A new European Group is taking shape
A new European Group is taking shape
For 2027, we’re also planning a new QUBALI European Group with teams from Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Germany. The idea is to bring queer badminton teams from neighbouring countries together and create a new opportunity to play, meet and connect across borders.
We’re currently talking to interested teams and working out the details. More information will follow soon!
14 November: QUBALI League Gathering in Berlin
On 14 November 2026, we’ll meet in Berlin for the QUBALI League Gathering. Alongside the Delegates’ Assembly, there will be a friendly badminton tournament and plenty of opportunities to meet players from other teams, cities and countries.
The League Gathering is open to all QUBALI members.

Welcome to QUBALI
Our League is a queer community project. It has emerged from an ongoing collaboration between queer sports clubs and groups from Germany and across Europe. Community-powered, community-driven.
We organise a team-based badminton competition where it’s not individual players, but entire teams—and their home clubs—competing in singles and doubles based on skill level. This format is currently unique in Europe!
Everyone who enjoys playing badminton and feels connected to the queer movement is welcome. Team composition and match formats are not based on gender identity or sexual orientation.
In the 2025 season, 27 teams from 17 different cities and clubs are competing for the championship titles.
